Chelsea are considering making a late bid for AS Roma defender Kostas Monalas, according to Sky Sources.
It was reported last night, that the player hadn’t turned up for his medical with Zenit due to personal terms not being finalised which both parties wanted.
This has allowed for other clubs to come in at the final stages, in an attempt to turn his head away from the Russian bound move.
Chelsea have been linked with
a few central defenders this summer, Leonardo Bonucci, Virgil Van Dijk, Jerome Boateng and now Manolas.
The 26-year-old will only cost a fraction on what they could be paying on the others, with Zenit already agreeing a £30 million fee.
