Chelsea face stiff competition from Manchester City for AS Roma defender Antonio Rudiger.
It was rumoured this week that the German internationals club had agreed a €35 million fee for Rudiger with Chelsea.
He is currently in Russia at the Confederations Cup, as Germany have reached the final of the competition.
He was set to arrive in London next week to finalise the deal, agreeing personal terms and completing the medical to get the deal over the line.
However, Guardiola has now stepped up his chase in the defender, and now they’ll go head to head for his signature.
When Rudiger finishes the Confederations Cup, he is set to decide his future, on whether he wants to leave Roma, and then join Chelsea or Manchester City.
