According to English Journalist Simon Johnson of The Standard, despite the wide reports of unrest amongst Chelsea Manager Antonio Conte and the board, they actually have good relations as they seek to complete transfer targets this month.
Chelsea Directors Marina Granovskaia and Michael Emenalo are said to be in constant communication with Conte during these stages as they work on deals for at least four new arrivals in the 23 days left remaining in this window.
Conte has publicly stated his concern about the size of the current squad, as have Captain Gary Cahill and former player and Club legend Frank Lampard.
But according to this report, everything is good between them and they expect the players to be signed.
Simon Johnson works closely with Chelsea and even went on the recent pre-season Tour, he tends to be a pretty decent source when it comes to the Club.
He states some familiar names as the main targets quoting Danny Drinkwater from Leicester, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from Arsenal, Ross Barkley from Everton, Renato Sanches from Bayern Munich, Alex Sandro from Juventus and Fernando Llorente from Juventus.
Sandro however he admits is going to be very unlikely at this stage. But Granovskaia is currently away from Stamford Bridge working on these deals and has been for the last few days.
