Antonio Conte has featured on the Sky Sports Premier League launch show this morning and once again faced similar questions as he has been answering for the duration of the summer.
He firstly reiterated his stance on Diego Costa by asking to not have to repeat himself and that the situation with Costa is still the same.
Costa is not wanted at Chelsea by Conte and the Club took that decision back in January. Atletico Madrid are still the obvious destination for Costa but complications of their transfer ban mean this saga is still nowhere near to being sorted out.
Meanwhile, new Striker Alvaro Morata, who is essentially taking over from Costa, is likely to start the first Premier League game against Burnley on Saturday.
When asked about Morata, Conte explained that the Spaniard’s condition has got better, he is starting to understand the way he wants him to play and that he ‘could’ start at the weekend.
The Italian also reiterated that he has a strong trust in his new Striker and believes he will succeed at the Club.
