According to The Standard reporter Simon Johnson, who works very closely with the Club, Chelsea have submitted an offer believed to be around £35 million for the Arsenal midfielder and talks are ongoing.
Chelsea have been monitoring the situation of the England International throughout the summer and Manager Antonio Conte rates him as one of his main targets. He’s impressed with his work rate, direct style of play and versatility he can bring to the side, not to mention the fact he is a home grown player.
Arsenal Manager Arsene Wenger has been reluctant to allow Oxlade-Chamberlain to leave the Club, but it looks as though Alexis Sanchez and Olivier Giroud will stay, potentially opening up the chance for Oxlade-Chamberlain to go.
The 23-year old has refused to sign a new contract this summer and only has a year remaining.
