After Leicester rejected an initial bid of £15m for their midfielder Danny Drinkwater, Chelsea have gone back in with a £25m offer. According to The Telegraph however, The Foxes are holding out for £40m, but will consider selling.

A change of stance to what was suggested a couple of weeks back when the player was not for sale at any price. It now seems they could be willing to do a deal.

The two Clubs are locked in negotiations over the England International, and I believe that there could be a compromise if both are willing to meet somewhere near halfway.

Chelsea won’t like being held to ransom however and will undoubtedly refuse to pay the latest asking price quoted by the Leicester board.

The player himself allegedly wants the move and could be set to rejoin former teammate N’Golo Kante, whom he won the Premier League with two seasons ago.

Talks are ongoing between the Clubs….
