Chelsea have a shortlist of many players who they are putting the moves on in order to bolster a thin looking squad. I am continually being asked my opinions of who I believe we will sign, so I’ve decided to tell you my predictions here.

We all know the Chelsea Board by now and we all know that they do everything in their power to pay as little as physically possible for players, and it won’t take much for them to back out, they refuse to be held to ransom. We also know that although Antonio Conte has his targets and the board considers them, predominantly it is the board members and owner Roman Abramovich who make the decisions on how much to spend and who on.

They also shoot themselves in the foot every window, they get priced out of targets, so will move on to another, and so on. What this does is leave everything until the last minute, when Clubs know how desperate they are to sign players and up the fees even more. Having said this, I still believe we will sign four more players this window.

In a nutshell, my predictions are for incoming players Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ryan Bertrand, Fernando Llorente and Danny Drinkwater. Before you all start slating me, this is not who I necessarily want to sign, this is who I believe we will end up signing.

Oxlade-Chamberlain will be tough and it could go down to the wire, but I do see it happening. I also see Leicester caving in on Drinkwater. Llorente is injured still but I know Conte rates him and I can’t see them trusting Loic Remy as the third striker. Bertrand is allegedly our third left back target behind Sandro and Rose, but I believe it’s the former Blue who we’ll end up with.

I also believe that we still have a decent chance of signing Virgil van Dijk, Danny Rose, Sergi Roberto, Cedric Soares, Alex Sandro and Joao Cancelo.

I really can’t see Tottenham even listening to offers for Rose, but I put him in there because something inside me makes me feel this rumour is not done yet.

But as I’ve said all along, we don’t know about every single deal being worked on by Chelsea. I am adamant that we will see a player sign out of nowhere, one nobody expected and hasn’t been linked with them yet.
