We take a look at what Chelsea really spent this summer, with key additions coming into the club, but quite a few leaving.

Let’s break it down for you.

Incomings:

Davide Zappacosta – £23 million

Danny Drinkwater – £35 million

Alvaro Morata – £70 million

Tiemoue Bakayoko – £40 million

Antonio Rudiger – £34 million

Willy Caballero – Free

Overall amount spend – £202 million

Outgoings:

Nemanja Matic – £40 million

Nathan Ake – £20 million

Juan Cuadrado – £17 million

Asmir Begovic – £10 million

Bertrand Traore – £8.8 million

Nathaniel Chalobah – £7 million

Chrisitian Atsu – £6.2 million

Overall amount recieved – £109 million

So Chelsea have only actually spent around £93 million this summer, and with the potential sale of Diego Costa to his former club Atletico Madrid, the spend could go to around £50 million. Is that acceptable for newly crowned champions, or are we preparing to fund our new stadium.
