It’s that time of the year again where EA Sports launch the new game of their series, FIFA 18. With the game’s full release only being a week away, let’s get into the ratings that have been given to the Chelsea players.

ST: Alvaro Morata – 84

New signing Alvaro Morata lands an 84 overall rating coming off a 20 goal season off the bench for Champions League winners Real Madrid. The Spaniard has a solid 82 pace, 80 shooting, and 80 dribbling. Morata looks to be a cheap-ish option for your Ultimate Team and will definitely bang in the goals, just like in real life, so getting his One to Watch card may be a good decision.

ST: Diego Costa – 86

Now this is an interesting one, Diego Costa does have a Chelsea card in FIFA 18. Now that his move to Atletico Madrid is finalised after a summer transfer saga, he possibly could have a Chelsea card and a Madrid one. The striker has 75 pace, 83 shooting, 76 dribbling, and a monster 88 physical. The Brazilian born Spaniard scored 22 goals and deserves the +1 upgrade

ST: Michy Batshuayi – 81

The Belgian striker is more active on twitter than he was for Chelsea last season, thus received a -1 downgrade. Michy has 79 pace, 80 shooting, and 77 dribbling and looks to be a very good cheap option.

LW: Eden Hazard – 90

One of last year’s cover stars Eden Hazard has a 90 rating and is therefore the highest rated Premier League player on the game. The Belgian has 90 pace, 82 shooting, 92 Dribbling, and 84 passing. To sum it all up, if you’ve got the coins, get him.

RW: Pedro – 84

Always capable of an absolute screamer Pedro gets a +1 rating and a position change to RW. The Spaniard has 84 pace, 77 shot, 84 dribbling, and 77 passing. A very well-rounded card for the spaniard.

RW: Willian – 84

Brazilian winger Willian has an absolutely incredible card on FIFA this year. He has 88 pace, 76 shooting, 86 dribbling, and 81 passing, and looks to be a great option for your Ultimate Team

CDM: N’Golo Kanté – 87.

A well deserved high rating for the PFA player of the year, the man who covers every blade of grass has a +6 from his original 81 rating last season. While his stats are underwhelming for an 87 rating with 81 pace, 66 shot, 81 dribbling, 75 passing, 81 defending, and 84 physical, when you look at the in-game stats you’ll see why he’s worth a buy. Kanté has 89 stand tackling, and 85 sliding, 90 aggression, 91 interceptions, 84 short passing, 90 balance, and 94 stamina. When looking for a defensive midfielder I would advise you ignore Kanté card stats and look at the in-game ones instead.

CM: Cesc Fabregas – 86

Ladies and gentleman your perfect deep-lying playmaker is here with the Spanish wizard Cesc Fabregas, while he’s not someone who will sprint everywhere and win the ball like Kanté he will grab you loads of assists with 88 passing (91 short and 90 long) and his 91 vision could ping a through ball from anywhere.

CDM: Tiémoué Bakayoko – 82

If you can’t afford N’golo Kanté, well here is Bakayoko for you. Baka has 81 defending, and 83 physical with 84 and and 82 slide tackling, while obviously Kanté is the better option, if you don’t have the funds, Bakayoko is a great option.

CM: Danny Drinkwater – 79

A great option for a cheap BPL team is Danny Drinkwater, the Englishman has 75 passing, 76 dribbling ,74 defending, and 75 physical, Drinkwater is a good option if you are thirsty for a cheap CM. With only long passing and stamina being his only green stats (both 83) he’s not a player you would go into Weekend League with, but a good 1-2k pickup.

RM: Charly Musonda – 76

Musonda finally got a goal in real life for Chelsea against Forest in the Carabao Cup and impresses with 5 star skills and 5 star weak foot in FIFA. With 87 pace and 82 dribbling being good, but only 64 shot and 69 passing, he could be more of a career mode gem than  an Ultimate Team buy.
