Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek is in line to not only make his Senior debut for his country on Friday night, but to start the match as well, according to Sky Sports.
The 21-year old, currently on loan at Crystal Palace, is set to don the three lions jersey on the senior stage for the first time against Germany at Wembley, after impressing Manager Gareth Southgate this season.
Loftus-Cheek has been a bit part player at Chelsea so far, but having come through the academy at the club, he’s a highly thought of talent who is finally gaining his deserved recognition.
Southgate has had many regulars pull out of the squad due to injury, hence the chance and opportunities to play for the likes of Loftus-Cheek, and his fellow loan army Chelsea colleague Tammy Abraham, who will also be hoping to make his senior debut.
From a supporter who has rated Loftus-Cheek for many years and wholeheartedly disagree with Jose Mourinho’s ‘hes too lazy’ comments – best of luck to both lads this Friday!
