Former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has enquired about Chelsea forward Willian following the lack of game time this season under Antonio Conte.

According to the Daily Mail, United have approached Chelsea for the Brazilian however the Blues aren’t willing to let the 29-year-old leave the club.

Willian spoke about his future following Chelsea’s win over Huddersfield Town on Tuesday and revealed he was happy at the club.

Despite not winning the official Man of the Match award, Eden Hazard passed it over to Willian after his fine performance which included a goal.

However, the Mail understand that he is getting increasingly frustrated with the lack of minutes and that Mourinho is a ‘firm’ admirer of the winger.

The Blues don’t have a large squad as it is, and Antonio Conte can’t afford to let Willian leave the club, particularly when injuries strike Chelsea. Those are the moments when he will be needed the most.
