Chelsea are reportedly interested in Red Star Belgrade striker Richmond Boakye who is in high demand across Europe after scoring 23 goals in 28 games this season already.
Antonio Conte is searching for a new forward to back up Alvaro Morata, and Michy Batshuayi, who could potentially depart the club in January.
According to GhanaSoccer.net, Red Star Belgrade are considering offers from Besiktas, Rennes and Anderlecht for Boakye, believed to be in the region of £6m to £8m.
However, Conte could persuade the forward who fired his side into the last 32 of the Europa League, due to previous admiration for the 24-year-old.
The Italian took him under his wing during his time in Italy, and Boakye has great respect for the Chelsea boss: “Conte wanted me and bought me to Juventus from Sassuolo. For me he represented a great coach and I’ll always thank him.”
He continued on to say: “If he wants me, I’m so happy to find him again.”
If the pair reunite, it could see Michy Batshuayi leave Chelsea on loan for the remainder of the season in January.
