Chelsea could see one of their key players return, just in time for Saturday’s fixture against Southampton at Stamford Bridge.
Alvaro Morata missed Tuesday’s trip to Huddersfield through tiredness and holding a slight back problem. It wasn’t an issue for those who featured against the Terriers as the Blues saw the game out comfortably, winning the game by two goals to cement their place in third.
But Antonio Conte confirmed the 25-year-old has returned to training, despite a slight pain in his back, and could feature on Saturday.
But the Southampton game won’t see the return of David Luiz as the italian was unable to confirm when the defender would return to action.
Chelsea are 14 points off the pace at the top of the Premier League and will be hoping not to slip further away from league leaders Manchester City.
