Chelsea youngster Charly Musonda will be given the opportunity to go on loan in order to get regular minutes under his belt.

The Belgian recently signed a five-year-deal with the club which extends his stay at the club until 2022, and with that in mind, the Blues are happy for him to continue his short-term development elsewhere.

Musonda also changed his agent last week and that could have an influence on any decision that is going to be made.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference yesterday, Conte revealed it would be up to the club and Musonda to find the best solution: “I’m happy for him because it was right to sign a new contract, and the club took the right decision on this. The player the same.

“The player took the right decision to sign a new contract with the club. Then, for his future, the club and the player will take the right decision.”

From what has been said, a move is in the hands of Musonda. If he wants to fight for his place he will stay, if he wants minutes he will leave.
