Chelsea started their quest to find Michael Emenalo’s replacement, after he left the club earlier on this season for a new challenge, which then resulted him into joining French champions AS Monaco.
Dutch outlet De Telegraaf have reported that Chelsea have approached current PSV technical director Marcel Brands with the possibility of taking over the role which Emenalo has just vacated.
The report continues to say that the deal would make sense due to the positive relationship that the clubs have built over the previous years, particularly over midfielder Marco Van Ginkel who spent some time in the Netherlands.
However, Brands isn’t the only candidate. Although other names aren’t mentioned, there are several other names that Chelsea are eyeing up.
The 55-year-old has been a great asset for PSV and they won’t want to lose their director, but an offer from Chelsea, if one were to come in, could be too hard to turn down.
