Chelsea legend John Terry who left the club following Chelsea’s triumph domestically last season, has claimed one of his former team-mates is a ‘nightmare’ to play against regardless of what is up for grabs.

The former Chelsea captain of 22 years featured in Cesar Azpilicueta’s ‘A Day In The Life’ film which was published onto the club’s official YouTube Channel. He was joined by Ashley Cole, Eden Hazard and Alvaro Morata throughout.

“He’s verging on annoying and a nightmare because nine times out of ten if you have him in your team, he’s winning. Apart from in table tennis – he knows I’m the king of that.”

They spent four years together at Chelsea before Terry left the club in order to find regular game-time.

But jokes aside, Terry revealed he was always impressed with the way he arrived into the Chelsea dressing room, and how the Spaniard has continued to develop.

“I always said to him that if you had 11 of you, you would have an unbelievable team,” Terry added.

“I see him as a leader and I think you can see that from when he first arrived and developing into that role.

“He leads the team and leads the group – hence being vice-captain.”
