Chelsea defender David Luiz could be on the move away from the Premier League champions in January for the second time.
Luiz hasn’t featured for the Blues since the end of October when Chelsea drew 3-3 at home to Roma in the Champions League, and a fallout with boss Antonio Conte and an ongoing injury problem, has left him out of the picture.
According to the Daily Mail, both Juventus and Real Madrid hold interest in the 30-year-old who is in his second spell at Chelsea.
Juventus have shown interest following defender Leonardo Bonucci’s exit in the summer to AC Milan. Zinedine Zidane has been a long-term admirer of the Brazilian who can play in both the centre-back role and the holding midfield role.
Since Luiz has been left out of the side, Andreas Christensen has made the position his own, and has received the backing off his manager Antonio Conte after the Italian was asked about Luiz’s future.
“I don’t know. Andreas Christensen is the present and the future for Chelsea.”
With Juventus interested, the Blues could strong-arm the Italian side into a player swap deal plus cash, with Chelsea interested in Alex Sandro.
If Luiz leaves Chelsea in January, it is highly unlikely that he will make a third return to Stamford Bridge.
