Italian side Fiorentina are weighing up a potential loan move for Chelsea full-back Baba Rahman in the January transfer window which is just days away.
The Ghanaian has been out of action for a while now after he tore his anterior cruciate ligament during the 2017 African Cup of Nations.
According to La Nazione, Fiorentina are considering a move for the full-back whose loan move to Schalke 04 fell through in the summer, after he spent last season on loan with the German club.
Chelsea have history with the Italian side when the player in question was Mohamed Salah, who is now at Liverpool.
As the left-back is looking for game time, despite pushing to be in Antonio Conte’s plans, he could seek football short-term.
However the Blues only have one wing-back on the left side, and with Rahman on the road to recovery, any injury picked up by the preferred Marcos Alonso, the 24-year-old could start to pave his way into Conte’s plans.
If the West London side can’t bring any cover in for Alonso, Alex Sandro has been linked, then it is unlikely that the Blues hierarchy nor Antonio Conte will let Baba Rahman leave in January.
