Antonio Conte has made it clear that he does not receive the players he asks for in the transfer window.

The Italian hasn’t had much joy as of late bringing in the players of his wishes, and when speaking to Sky Italia, the Chelsea head coach revealed his expectations are never high.

“I do not aim high with my requests, especially as in my history I’ve rarely been given the players I asked for.”

Chelsea were denied all three points at the Emirates due to a last gasp effort from Hector Bellerin.

After a bad summer transfer window, one would feel that the board have to give Conte some involvement in transfers in the January transfer window, however his statements suggests that the board still wouldn’t listen to him anyway.

“I always ended up at clubs who were running an austerity programme.”
“I just try to do my work. If someone arrives, good. If they don’t, then that’s fine too. I have to continue my work, either way.”
Again and again at Chelsea, managers do not get given the opportunity to buy players in the transfer window, and this could cost us very badly with the current squad we have.
