The Blues host Arsenal in this 1st leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final at Stamford Bridge.

Antonio Conte is expected to field a very strong side, including Eden Hazard, after resting a number of players over the weekend against Norwich.

Our last result against Arsenal came a short while ago after an epic 2-2 draw at the Emirates. There’ll be high expectations of yet another thrilling tie tonight at the Bridge.

Our new signing Ross Barkley is unlikely to be involved tonight, after Conte had this to say about the midfielder:

“Tomorrow (Wednesday) night I think is very soon, very soon for him,” said Conte of the England international.

“But we must be pleased because his physical condition is good, and he has started to train with us, understand our football.

“I think that we must be pleased, but he needs a bit of time to work on the physical and tactical aspects. His condition is good, very good.”

Prediction

Following our bore draw against Norwich City on the weekend. Conte should field out a strong side against Arsenal. Arsene Wenger has never won the league cup at his time at Arsenal, something he will look to change.

Our lack of clinical finishing from the likes of Alvaro Morata needs to be worked on tonight. If the Spaniard gets his game on, it’ll be a cruise.

Prediction: Chelsea 2-0 Arsenal
