Charly Musonda Jr will be allowed to leave Chelsea on loan this month, but only to an English club, according to respected Belgian journalist, Kristof Terreur.
Musonda is not set to be included in the eighteen for today’s semi-final first leg against Arsenal at the Bridge. The 21-year-old Belgian was included in Chelsea’s Development Squad’s 2-1 victory away to Portsmouth in the Checkatrade Trophy on Tuesday evening. Musonda scored both goals, including a sumptuous 95th minute free-kick winner which sealed Chelsea’s place in the quarter-finals.
This was duly noticed by the watching Bournemouth Manager Eddie Howe and his scouting team, who were in attendance at Portsmouth and are keen to take the young Belgian on loan for the rest of the season, according to The Standard.
Musonda has the ability in abundance but the Club wants him to gain valuable experience on loan, but only at an English club, which appears likely.
Concluding the report, a move to Bournemouth would probably be the best move for all parties in order for Musonda to develop. May they also be interested in taking fellow youngster Dujon Sterling on loan for the rest of the season? This has also been mentioned, one to keep an eye on.
