Chelsea’s April fixture list in full: Liverpool, Real Madrid & Arsenal all await as Champions League campaign continues
Eight games await Chelsea in April in a busy month for Graham Potter’s side as they look to continue their Champions League adventure.
Potter’s side went unbeaten in March. Three wins and a draw ensured it was a positive month for Chelsea, whose confidence has started to increase having begun to overturn the difficult period of results.
It still sees them sit in 10th position in the Premier League and 11 points off the top four places, but they do remain in the Champions League after a last-16 win over Borussia Dortmund last month.
Chelsea will begin April, following the conclusion of the international break, with a home clash against Aston Villa. Three days later, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool will make the trip to Stamford Bridge for the rearranged league encounter, before Chelsea end the week with an away trip to Molineux to face Wolves.
Then Chelsea’s biggest game of the season awaits on Wednesday 12th April. The first leg of their quarter-final against Real Madrid in the Champions League. The return leg is six days later in west London as Potter eyes a semi-final spot.
Chelsea’s trip to Old Trafford to play Manchester United on April 22 was postponed due to the Red Devils’ involvement in the FA Cup semi-finals.
Potter’s side will close out the month of April with two London derbies. Brentford are up first at Stamford Bridge, before they head to north London to take on current league leaders Arsenal, who are eyeing to win their first Premier League title since 2003-04.
