Chelsea have been dealt a blow over their summer transfer pursuit of Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham.

The 19-year-old is set to be moving clubs this summer with Dortmund accepting the England international’s time at the Signal Iduna Park is up amid heavy interest from across Europe.

Manchester City, Liverpool, Real Madrid and Manchester United have all show interest in the teenager, while Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are also hoping to be in the race for Bellingham.

Bellingham is set to cost around £130 million, with his current deal expiring in June 2025, and work is already being done by clubs to land the highly-rated midfielder.

Chelsea are planning on signing a new midfielder this summer too despite the £106.8 million acquisition of Enzo Fernandez last month from Benfica.

West Ham midfielder Declan Rice is a top target for Chelsea, but Bellingham remains on the radar, with a switch to the Premier League reportedly his preferred choice.

However, Chelsea have been dealt a big blow after Bellingham’s latest decision on some of the clubs keen on him.

As reported by Patrick Berger, Bellingham is not interested in a summer move to either Chelsea or PSG.

German journalist Christian Falk claims Liverpool would be his preferred destination in the summer, writing in his CaughtOffside column, and explained why Bellingham has decided to snub the Blues.

He wrote: “The Premier League remains the first target for Jude Bellingham. I’ve always said Liverpool would be his preferred target but, of course, everyone knows that they’re not doing too well at the moment.”

Falk added: “I heard that, before Enzo Fernandez’s move to London, Bellingham was looking at what was going on at Chelsea. Chelsea were interested but Bellingham saw there wasn’t a clear plan at the club, so there wasn’t a massive amount of interest in going there.”
