Chelsea face Newcastle United in the Premier League and the confirmed team news is in from Stamford Bridge.

Frank Lampard will manage his final game in charge of Chelsea as caretaker manager on Sunday as his temporary stint at the club comes to an end.

He will bid farewell to Stamford Bridge as Mauricio Pochettino waits in the wings after the 51-year-old put pen to paper on his three-year contract in west London.

Ahead of the game in his programme notes, Lampard wrote: “Even after this short period back at the club, it will be nice to have the opportunity to say goodbye properly, in front of you and say thank you for all your support. It’s a big deal for me.”

Chelsea have lost eight of the 10 matches under Lampard and they will be hoping to bounce back from back-to-back defeats to Man City and Man United to end on a positive note as they say goodbye to the 44-year-old.

Newcastle have already confirmed Champions League qualification for next season, but Eddie Howe will not be allowing his side to have the mindset of being on-the-beach before the final whistle blows on Sunday.
