Every Chelsea squad number for the 2023/24 season as Nkunku, Fernandez & Mudryk among changes
Chelsea confirmed the squad numbers for Mauricio Pochettino’s side ahead of the 2023/24 season getting underway.
It’s been a busy summer of incomings and outgoings to refine Pochettino‘s squad for their season opener against Liverpool on August 13 at Stamford Bridge.
So far they have brought in Robert Sanchez, Axel Disasi, Lesley Ugochukwu, Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson, with Angelo Gabriel arriving and departing on loan to RC Strasbourg. Malo Gusto and Andrey Santos have also linked up with the squad this summer.
Chelsea released the assigned number list, with Romelu Lukaku, Hakim Ziyech and Callum Hudson-Odoi all not being given a shirt number, however the no.9 and no.22 remained vacant.
Nkunku was handed the no.18, Jackson the no.15, while there were a lot of changes with the current squad. Enzo Fernandez swapped no.5 for no.8, Raheem Sterling no.17 for no.7 and Mykhailo Mudryk no.15 for no.10.
Levi Colwill, who has recently signed a new long-term deal, was given John Terry’s former number, the no.26 shirt, with Ian Maatsen linking up with the first-team and getting the no.29.
