Chelsea have named their travelling squad to face Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League round of 16 first leg on Wednesday.

The Blues will be hopeful of putting their domestic form aside and coming away from Germany with a positive result to bring back to Stamford Bridge.

After topping a group containint AC Milan, Dinamo Zagreb and RB Salzburg, the Blues will be hopeful of making a deep run in Europe.

Sitting 10th in the Premier League table, Graham Potter is aware that winning the Champions League may be the only way to see his side qualify for European football next season.

Dortmund, on the other hand, are in fine form in the Bundesliga and are challenging at the top of the table once again.

They will be hoping to come away from a 81,000 capacity Signal Iduna Park with a victory ahead of the clash.

Edin Terzic has declared his admiration for Potter but revealed that he isn’t sure what to expect from Chelsea ahead of the clash.

“He is an impressive personality and a fantastic coach,” he admitted. “We are in regular contact and look forward to seeing each other again.

“They sold key players, brought in other key players. Then we saw the official Champions League list but then there was the transfer of Joao Felix, for example.

“So you don’t know how they will play. In defence they played with four but before also with three in the back. We will prepare for everything.”

Chelsea have now confirmed their travelling squad as they board the plane to Dortmund on Tuesday.

The Blues have named their squad, with a noticable absentee as Raheem Sterling suffered an injury setback and will remain in London.

New signings Noni Madueke, David Datro Fofana and Benoit Badiashile are also missing out due to restrictions with the Champions League registration, while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was excluded from Potter’s squad for the remainder of the tournament.

Kalidou Koulibaly, Mateo Kovacic, Wesley Fofana and Denis Zakaria have all recovered from injury to travel also.

Full Chelsea travelling squad: Kepa, Bettinelli, Bergstrom; James, Silva, Chalobah, Chilwell, Koulibaly, Azpilicueta, W Fofana, Cucurella; Hall, Chukwuemeka, Gallagher, Mount, Zakaria, Loftus-Cheek, Kovacic, Enzo; Felix, Mudryk, Ziyech, Havertz.
