Mykhailo Mudryk to Chelsea details: Confirmed transfer fee, contract length, salary and shirt number

Following Mykhailo Mudryk’s transfer to Chelsea, all the details of his January move to Stamford Bridge have been revealed.

The 22-year-old became Chelsea’s fifth signing of the month after the club reached a swift agreement with Shakhtar Donetsk during talks in Turkey.

Mudryk was wanted by Premier League rivals Arsenal but Chelsea met Shakhtar’s valuation and included achievable add-on clauses which were accepted by the Ukrainian side.

He was in attendance at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon against Crystal Palace after his transfer was announced during the first-half of their 1-0 win in the Premier League.

Mudryk expressed his delight at moving to the two-time Champions League winners, admitting: “I’m so happy to sign for Chelsea. This is a huge club, in a fantastic league and it is a very attractive project for me at this stage of my career.

“I’m excited to meet my new teammates and I’m looking forward to working and learning under Graham Potter and his staff.”

The deal was quickly wrapped up after co-owner Behdad Eghbali and director of global football and transfers Paul Winstanley flew to Turkey for a 10 hour meeting with Shakhtar officials before bringing Mudryk back to England with them to finalise the move.
