N’Golo Kante is set to receive an eye-watering contract offer to make the switch to Saudi Arabia this summer.

The 32-year-old’s future at Chelsea is uncertain due to his contract expiring at the end of this month.

A contract extension at Stamford Bridge, which Kante has prioritised, looked increasingly likely several months ago, but now it remains unclear if he will stay in the capital next season.

Chelsea are overseeing a midfield overhaul and revamp under Mauricio Pochettino, which has seen Jorginho depart, while Mateo Kovacic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Mason Mount and Conor Gallagher could all leave this summer, according to reports.

Kante’s injury problems in recent season will have played a factor in Chelsea’s contract decision, and now clubs are beginning to express interest over acquiring the France international on a free transfer.

Fabrizio Romano now reports Saudi emissaries have travelled to London to present an official proposal to Kante.

Al-Ittihad and Al-Nassr are interested in the World Cup winner, who could receive a contract offer worth up to €100 million including image rights and commercial deals.

Kante is settled in London and would be happy staying at Chelsea, but is yet to communicate his final decision to the club, according to Matt Law of the Daily Telegraph.

Matt Law reports Chelsea will not be drawn into a bidding war with Saudi Arabia. The heavily incentivised contract remains on the table, which the club don’t plan to significantly improve’.
