Chelsea are beginning to receive interest for midfielder Conor Gallagher this summer, with three Premier League keen.

Gallagher was heavily linked with a move away in January. Everton fought to try to sign him on deadline day but the Chelsea star opted to remain at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea were prepared to cash in on Gallagher mid-way through the season and Gallagher’s future is now uncertain as Mauricio Pochettino undergoes a midfield overhaul. Mateo Kovacic and N’Golo Kante are set to leave, while Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Mason Mount’s futures are unclear.

Gallagher, who made 45 appearances for Chelsea in 2022-23, is now attracting interest from other Premier League clubs. As reported by The Athletic, the 23-year-old is wanted by West Ham, Tottenham Hotspur and Brighton & Hove Albion who are currently the ‘main contenders’ for his signature.

Newcastle United have cooled their interest in the England international after Chelsea’s valuation of £50 million.

However, Brighton’s interest in Gallagher could help negotiations for midfielder Moises Caicedo, who is valued at in excess of £80 million. The Athletic claim Brighton want £100 million for the 21-year-old.

With Brighton interested, it may allow Chelsea to subsidise the fee paid for Caicedo by including Gallagher as part of the deal.

It remains unclear if Gallagher would be interested in a move to Roberto De Zerbi’s side, who qualified for next season’s Europa League.

Talks with Brighton over Caicedo are set to begin next week, as reported by Fabrizio Romano, which could see a deal accelerate quickly ahead of Chelsea’s pre-season return next month.

Chelsea are closing in on a £34.2 million deal to sell Kovacic to Manchester City, with Pep Guardiola’s side expected to pay a large amount upfront to help the Blues with their finances ahead of June 30.
