Chelsea host Manchester City in the Premier League as Mauricio Pochettino’s side look to build on their thrashing of Tottenham.

A 4-1 win in north London on Monday night saw Pochettino defeat his former side in emphatic fashion as Spurs finished the game with nine men.

Chelsea are now in the top half of the Premier League and could move as high as eighth should they claim all three points against Pep Guardiola’s side, who are leading the way in the league following Spurs’ stoppage time defeat to Wolves.

Pochettino is aware of the task that awaits his side in the capital after lauding Guardiola and the current Champions League holders.

“For me it is the best team, the best coaching staff, the best manager,” admitted the Chelsea head coach. “We need to praise, we need to tell the truth, it is the best or one of the best organisations in the world.

“When you show the results it’s because you are doing things top to bottom really well. We need to give credit to all of the organisation.

“It’s going to be a challenge, we want to compete against them, I think we are going to try and compete our best, and what we want is three points, they are important for us.”
