Chelsea vs Brighton & Hove Albion: Confirmed team news for Carabao Cup tie

Chelsea face Brighton & Hove Albion in the third round of the Carabao Cup and the team news is in from Stamford Bridge.
Mauricio Pochettino’s Blues are without a win in their last three games, but they will be hoping to advance to the fourth round by defeating Roberto De Zerbi’s side.
In the previous round, Chelsea beat AFC Wimbledon 2-1, since that game the west Londoners have had a tricky time of it, losing to both Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa at home and only managing a point on the south coast against AFC Bournemouth.

It has been a difficult start to life as the Blues’ head coach for the Argentinian, but he is still focusing on the positives from the opening fixtures.
“We are a young team that is in process needing to learn altogether,” the Chelsea boss said, as quoted by the Mail Online. “It is difficult to talk about positives because when you lose it is difficult.
“We need to talk about positive things, we need to keep the positives in. There’s no doubt with time the team is going to perform. Of course I cannot hide the situation, it’s a situation that disappoints all of the fans, the club, us and the players.”

He added: “[We need to] give trust and then confidence. We have the squad that we have. We cannot change anything.
“We try to build the confidence and to give them all of the support that they need because they need to perform on the pitch.”
The Carabao Cup clash will get underway at 7:45pm BST at Stamford Bridge.
