Chelsea face Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League and the confirmed team news is in from Stamford Bridge.

Frank Lampard‘s side are looking for their first win in their six matches following a run of five games in all competitions without victory.

It’s been a tough first week for Lampard since returning to Chelsea. He has overseen a 1-0 defeat to Wolves in the Premier League and then a 2-0 loss to Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-finals in midweek

Lampard returns to Stamford Bridge for the first time as head coach since leaving in January 2021, a moment the 44-year-old is relishing.

Pre-match, he said: “I’m delighted to be back. It never falls short for me, the honour of being manager, head coach in whatever capacity. I’ve done it before for a season and a half and pretty much loved every minute of it. I’m happy to be back.

“My overriding feeling is, I’ve performed at Stamford Bridge in one way or another for a long time over the years, my overriding feeling is a focus on the job and trying to get wins. I appreciate being back but I’ll have my serious face on.”
