The officials have been confirmed for Chelsea’s Champions League clash against Borussia Dortmund at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night.

Chelsea host the Bundesliga side for the second leg of their Round of 16 clash in the English capital following Dortmund’s 1-0 win in the first leg in Germany last month.

A 63rd minute goal from Karim Adeyemi, who rounded Kepa Arrizabalaga to tap home from close range, to finish off a counter-attack sealed the win and handed them the advantage heading into the reverse tie in west London.

Graham Potter’s side have to score to give themselves a chance of turning the tie around and progressing into the quarter-finals. They ended their dismal run of three straight defeats and no win in six after beating Leeds United 1-0 at the weekend in the Premier League.

Dortmund won’t be an easy challenge for Chelsea. They are second in the Bundesliga and have won their last 11 games in a row.

Chelsea can’t afford to be wasteful again like they were in Germany. They finally broke their goalscoring duck on Saturday and will be keen to build on from the narrow win.

Now the officials for the European meeting have been revealed by UEFA ahead of the encounter.

Referee

UEFA confirmed that Danny Makkelie (NED) will take charge of the meeting in England.

Assistants

Danny Makkelie will be supported by Rogier Honig (NED) and Jan de Vries (NED) on the touchline.

Fourth Official

Jochem Kamphuis (NED) has been named as the Fourth Official for Tuesday’s match, with the referee overseeing conduct within the two dugouts, and the behaviour of managers Graham Potter and Edin Terzić.

VAR/Assistant VAR

Overviewing proceedings on Tuesday night will be Pol van Boekel (NED), who has been named as the Video Assistant Referee, with the Assistant Video Assistant Referee being Dennis Higler (NED).
