Chelsea face Liverpool in the Premier League at Anfield on Wednesday night.

The last eight meetings between the two sides in all competitions have ended in a draw, with Chelsea hoping to record a victory over Jurgen Klopp’s side ahead of the Carabao Cup final next month at Wembley.

Klopp’s departure at the end of the season was announced earlier this month. The Anfield faithful’s time is running out with the German, however Mauricio Pochettino insisted Chelsea are heading north to win the game and not be involved in any Klopp celebration.

“Until the end, it’s going to be special always,” Pochettino said ahead of Wednesday night’s clash. “Every time they play at Anfield, it’s going to be a party always, to celebrate, and to give him all the love they feel, the fans feel for him and I think it’s deserved.

“But we are thinking we need to go there and win the game. Sorry, but we don’t want to be involved or be part of the celebration. We want to perform well and win the game.”

Chelsea will welcome back Malo Gusto and Christopher Nkunku to the squad following injury, however they will continue to be without Levi Colwill and Nicolas Jackson, with the forward yet to return after being knocked out of AFCON with Senegal.
