Man United vs Chelsea: Preview, team news, how to watch, kick-off time & prediction
Chelsea face Manchester United in the Premier League on Wednesday night at Old Trafford.
Mauricio Pochettino‘s side got back to winning ways on Sunday after beating Brighton & Hove Albion narrowly 3-2 at Stamford Bridge despite playing the whole second half with 10 men due to Conor Gallagher’s dismissal.
It was a much-needed bounce back after the thrashing by Newcastle United. Now they head north to face Man United, with the record in the north west looking rather bleak. Chelsea‘s last win away to United was 1-0 in May 2013.
Chelsea will be without Christopher Nkunku for the trip. Pochettino confirmed he is not yet ready to return to make his Premier League debut.
Lesley Ugochukwu and Noni Madueke are ruled out due to minor injuries, but captain Reece James and Marc Cucurella both return from suspension. Gallagher misses out after his sending off at the weekend.
“We are happy with the squad,” said Pochettino pre-match. Only that from the beginning of the season we deal with too many injuries, unexpected.
“If you see tomorrow (Wednesday), the squad, too many young guys will be involved from the academy.”
