Moises Caicedo’s future is likely to be resolved in the coming days as Chelsea and Liverpool battle it out for his signature.

The 21-year-old is set to leave Brighton & Hove Albion this summer, however his £100 million valuation has yet to be met. Chelsea‘s latest bid of £80 million was rejected by the Seagulls.

Caicedo has made it clear that he wants to leave. His desire is to join Chelsea and Mauricio Pochettino, but Liverpool and Bayern Munich have also been linked with the midfielder.

Brighton are holding firm as Chelsea look to complete the signing for less than £100 million, though talks have reportedly progressed in recent days between the clubs.

Pochettino has made it abundantly clear that he wants midfield reinforcements, saying: “We need to add some player there (midfield). We need one more with experience.

“That is the idea. We are working, the club is working on that. At the moment we are working to reinforce that area and other areas also. The players that are here on the tour are in our plan.”

With the start of the new Premier League season just days away, Caicedo’s future is not hotting up and the transfer saga looks to be nearing its concluding.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, here is the latest on Moises Caicedo’s future.
