Chelsea are in dire need of a win against Leeds United in the Premier League after three consecutive defeats in all competitions.

Graham Potter’s side are without a victory in their last six matches and defeats to Borussia Dortmund, Southampton and then Spurs last Sunday have seen Chelsea come under increasing pressure.

It’s been a challenging season for Chelsea, who have changed managers under the new ownership, had a load of injuries to contend with, as well as many new signings to gel into the current setup.

Potter hasn’t been able to find a solution to Chelsea’s problems and frustration is growing in the capital.

Chelsea face another struggling side on Saturday afternoon at Stamford Bridge when Leeds United, now managed by Javi Gracia, visit the capital.

Potter has told his side that they need to start producing performances and results to relieve the pressure, with the hierarchy reportedly split on the 47-year-old’s future at Stamford Bridge.

“The boys have taken responsibility and understand where we’re at,” said Potter. “We all admit we can do better – firstly me – and the players are honest enough as well to know they can do better.

“We’re all there and fighting but we need to show it on the pitch and that has to manifest itself with three points.”

So how could Chelsea line-up against Leeds United?

Possible XI: Kepa, Chalobah, Badiashile, Fofana, Chilwell, Fernandez, Zakaria, Kovacic, Mudryk, Felix, Sterling

Edouard Mendy (fractured finger) and Cesar Azpilicueta (head) remain sidelined, while Thiago Silva has been ruled out for around six weeks, leaving the chance for Wesley Fofana to make his first start for around five months. Benoit Badiashile will be hoping to be recalled to the starting XI.

Reece James is a major doubt with a hamstring problem which could see Trevoh Chalobah return to the matchday squad for a rare start.

Mateo Kovacic will be keen to return following illness last weekend. Mason Mount has been ruled out with an abdomen problem, while N’Golo Kante is yet to be in contention for selection despite participating in full training on Friday.

Mykhailo Mudryk was bright when he came off the bench against Spurs and Potter may look to bring him back into the starting fold for their must-win game.
