Romelu Lukaku has expressed his current feelings amid speculation over his future at Chelsea following talks with Juventus and Inter Milan.

The 30-year-old will leave Chelsea this summer after just two years at the club. He has been excluded from their USA pre-season tour and remains at Cobham while his future is resolved.

Lukaku looked set to return to Inter Milan, where he spent the 2022/23 season on loan, however private talks with Juventus left the Nerazzurri furious and saw them confirm to the forward that they had withdrawn their interest.

Saudi Arabia clubs have expressed interest but should Juventus offload Dusan Vlahovic, Lukaku looks likely to join the Italian side.

Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino confirmed the situation prior to their 5-0 win over Wrexham, telling reporters: “I think it is obvious. I think we can repeat this.

“It is obvious what is going on with him. I think in between the club and the player, they share the same similar ideas and we are working on that to try to fix it and have the best solution for both parties.”

Lukaku has remained publicly quiet during the transfer saga, but has now appeared to hit out at reports, the specifics being unclear, after dismissing them as hate and lies.

Writing on his Instagram story, Lukaku said: “When that hate don’t work they start telling lies…”
