West Ham vs Chelsea: Preview, team news, how to watch, kick-off time & prediction
Chelsea face West Ham in the first away game of their 2023/24 Premier League season at the London Stadium.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side opened the season with a draw against Liverpool after debutant Axel Disasi cancelled out Luis Diaz’s opener at Stamford Bridge last weekend.
Chelsea will be without Reece James on Sunday in east London following a hamstring injury sustained in training at the beginning of the week. However, midfield duo Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia have been registered in time and they could feature for their debuts should Pochettino deem them ready.
“We have one day more to assess them, but it has been stressful weeks for Moises and Romeo also,” Pochettino confirmed on Friday regarding their availability.
“It would be easy to say they would be involved but the most important thing is to avoid risks and not to rush with them.
“If they are ready tomorrow (Saturday in training) they will be involved but if not, we will wait a few days more to be involved in the squad.”
Here are all of the details ahead of West Ham versus Chelsea in the Premier League.
