Chelsea’s Carabao Cup second round opponent confirmed as Spurs also learn fate
Chelsea will face AFC Wimbledon in the second round of the Carabao Cup.
Mauricio Pochettino‘s side will host the League Two side at the end of August for a spot in the third round, which will see the final eight Premier League teams, who all qualified for Europe, enter the competition.
Chelsea were knocked out in the third round last season by Manchester City and will be hoping to win at least one Carabao Cup game in 2023-24.
Prior to Chelsea playing AFC Wimbledon, they will face Liverpool, West Ham and Luton Town in the Premier League to begin the new campaign.
Ties will be played in the week commencing August 28.
