Christopher Nkunku has told Chelsea fans what they can expect from him after he completed his transfer from RB Leipzig.

After penning a six-year contract at Chelsea, Nkunku made the trip to the club’s Cobham training ground for a flying visit to take a look around at his new surroundings.

Nkunku expressed his delight upon arriving at Stamford Bridge, admitting: “I am incredibly happy to be joining Chelsea. A big effort was made to bring me to the club and I am looking forward to meeting my new coach and teammates and showing the Chelsea supporters what I can do on the pitch.

“Having played in Ligue 1 and the Bundesliga, I now want to play in the Premier League, one of the strongest leagues in the world. I am very excited for this challenge and will be proud to wear the Chelsea shirt.”

The 25-year-old will hope to replicate his goalscoring record during the 2022/23 campaign at Leipzig with Chelsea next season. He netted 16 league goals in the Bundesliga last term.

Following Nkunku‘s trip to Cobham on Thursday, which saw him wear a Chelsea shirt for the first time, he spoke to the club’s in-house media in-depth for the first time and was asked what the fans can expect from him.

The £53 million signing made a promise, replying: “We can say that I am a hard worker. I will give everything for the club, for the fans and to help the team bring some trophies. To give the best of my football. I hope I will make them as happy as I am to be here at this club.

“On the pitch I’m a bit quiet, but I can speak, I can shout also. But I’m very focused on the football and about winning, to do everything right, so I can say I speak with my feet. But it’s important obviously to speak to the boys on the pitch.”
