Callum Hudson-Odoi is ready to leave Chelsea this summer, according to reports.

The 22-year-old has already returned to Chelsea‘s Cobham training ground for the start of pre-season after spending the 2022/23 campaign on loan at Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen.

Hudson-Odoi will report back on Tuesday to begin life under new head coach Mauricio Pochettino, who arrived on Monday to get settled into his new working environment.

The winger’s future was already unclear as Chelsea looked to overhaul their squad following a challenging season last term, with the Blues eager to trim the bloated group that exceeded 30.

Hudson-Odoi has made his mind up over his Chelsea future, as reported by Simon Johnson of The Athletic, and wants to leave for a new chapter in his career.

Premier League sides Fulham, Nottingham Forest and West Ham have all been linked with Hudson-Odoi, while AC Milan, who have just signed Ruben Loftus-Cheek and want Christian Pulisic, have also expressed interest.

Pochettino currently has Mykhailo Mudryk, Noni Madueke and Raheem Sterling as his senior wide options, with Hakim Ziyech still on the club’s books following his collapsed move to Saudi side Al-Nassr.

During his first interview, the Chelsea head coach reiterated he only wanted players who wanted to be at the club and were going to give everything for the badge.

“We need leaders, not followers, in every single area and we will push every person to bring their best and give their best for the club,” said the 51-year-old.

Pochettino added: ‘It is exciting for us because we love good players, players with the capacity and then talent, but also we want people who want to be with us at this club and be really open to help the club achieve what we want.”
