Chelsea are back in action following the international break and head to the north east to face Newcastle United.

Mauricio Pochettino‘s side return to club football following a run of three matches in all competitions without defeat, beating Tottenham Hotspur and drawing a 4-4 thriller against Man City prior to the break.

They close out the month with a trip to St. James’ Park as the Blues look to continue their positive run, with more players nearing a return from injury – a welcome boost for Pochettino ahead of the festive period.

“I don’t see how they are going to see us,” said Pochettino during his pre-match press conference of Newcastle following their four goals versus Man City.

“We need to be consistent in the way we think. We need to keep in the same way, we cannot change every day.
