Ruben Loftus-Cheek completes AC Milan transfer as Chelsea confirm £15m departure
Ruben Loftus-Cheek has completed his summer transfer to AC Milan from Chelsea.
The 27-year-old has ended his 19-year stay at Stamford Bridge after joining Chelsea at the eight of eight. Loftus-Cheek departs having made 155 appearances for the first-team.
Loftus-Cheek has been part of the Chelsea which won two Premier League titles, the Europa League and Super Cup, plus winning the UEFA Youth League at academy level during the 2014/15 season, then the U21 Premier League and two FA Youth Cups.
He moves to the San Siro on a four-year contract after a deal worth £15 million plus add-ons was agreed between the clubs.
Loftus-Cheek reunited with former Chelsea academy product Fikayo Tomori at Milan, as well as striker Olivier Giroud.
He signs a four-year contract until June 2027. An AC Milan statement read: “AC Milan is happy to announce the signing of Ruben Loftus-Cheek from Chelsea FC. The player has agreed a deal with the Club until 30 June 2027.
“Born in London on 23 January 1996, Ruben came through Chelsea’s youth sector and made his professional debut for the club in 2014. He played for the Blues for seven seasons, with loan experiences at Crystal Palace during the 2017/18 season and Fulham in the 2020/21 season. At Chelsea, he played 155 games and scored 13 goals, winning 2 Premier League titles, 1 Club World Cup, 1 European Super Cup and 1 League Cup.”
