Chelsea have agreed to sell Mason Mount to Manchester United in a deal worth £60 million.

After three rejected bids, Man United have reached an agreement to pay £55 million plus £5 million in add-ons, which have been claimed to be ‘difficult, for the 24-year-old, who is out of contract at Chelsea next summer.

As reported by David Ornstein of The Athletic, Mount has now been given permission to undergo a medical and finalise personal terms, which have already been agreed, ahead of a move to Old Trafford.

Chelsea have been unable to agree a contract extension with Mount despite attempts since last summer and now a decision has been made to sell the England international.

Following talks between the clubs, an agreement has now been reached and Mount is edging closer to a Chelsea departure.

Mount went on to make 195 appearances for the Chelsea first-team after rising through the academy ranks, scoring 33 goals and assisting on 37 occasions in all competitions.
