Christian Pulisic is open to joining AC Milan this summer after informing them of his decision, according to reports.

The 24-year-old is expected to leave Chelsea after four years at the club, with Milan emerging as the frontrunners for his signature.

Pulisic was asked earlier this month while on international duty about his future. He said: “It’s obviously been an interesting journey at club level for me. I thought it was a great couple of years, and the last couple years just haven’t gone at all how I’ve planned them to be.

“This summer, we’re obviously going to have to see what happens — it’s obviously very early. As of right now, I’m a Chelsea player and I plan to go back, but a lot of things can happen, a lot of things can change.”

In recent weeks, Pulisic has been considered by AC Milan, who are on the verge of completing a transfer for his Chelsea teammate Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

Chelsea’s asking price is currently in excess of €20 million and Milan are only prepared to close a deal, as it stands, for €15 million, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

However, the Rossoneri have been given confidence of completing a deal after Pulisic said ‘yes’ to joining them if a deal can be agreed between the clubs.

Pulisic is also ready to help the Serie A side out financially and prepared to take a pay cut in order to push through a switch.

Chelsea will also offload Hakim Ziyech to Saudi side Al-Nassr, while Callum Hudson-Odoi is attracting interest from Milan, Fulham and Nottingham Forest.

Pulisic works with Puma, who are Milan’s technical sponsor, and the report states that it could potentially help the transfer.
