Chelsea’s new 2023/24 away kit leaked as fans offer mixed response
Chelsea’s away kit for the 2023/24 season has been leaked ahead of its expected official launch later this month.
The home shirt, which is also yet to be unveiled, has already surfaced and now the Blues’ away strip has been revealed by Footy Headlines.
Despite the new campaign being just around the corner, details of Chelsea’s front-of-shirt sponsor are yet to be confirmed. Three’s three-year sponsorship hasn’t been extended beyond June 30 and it was suggested Chelsea were in advanced talks with Australian-Curaçaoan online casino Stake, however that was met with heavy fan backlash.
Nevertheless, the designs of Chelsea’s kit are starting to emerge ahead of pre-season, which commences next week, and the away kit has been the next to surface.
Chelsea’s new kit is navy and blue and takes inspiration from the shirt from the 2002-23 season.
Gold appears to feature on the shirt, with the Nike logo and border of the club’s badge, as well as the lion crest inside the shirt all of that colour.
There was a mixed response to the leak on social media. Many took to the ‘clean’ design, while some labelled it as an Inter Milan lookalike or a training shirt.
Chelsea players have already been spotted wearing the new training shirt also. Omari Hutchinson shared a photo with former Blues defender Ricardo Carvalho whilst in pre-season training with the new shirt on.
