Fulham have expressed an interest in signing Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah this month, according to reports.

The 24-year-old has not featured once for Chelsea this season after sustaining a hamstring injury in training back in August.

Prior to Chelsea’s 1-0 win over Fulham in the Premier League last Saturday, Chalobah was confirmed to have ‘joined group training as part of final reconditioning stage’ as part of the club’s regular injury report.

Head coach Mauricio Pochettino revealed last Friday: “The good news is that Trevoh Chalobah has started to work with the group.

“We need to assess day by day to see if he can help us. But he doing well. He’s been training now with the group.”

As Chalobah nears a return to full fitness, his future at Stamford Bridge remains unclear despite being contracted until June 2028 after signing a new long-term deal in November 2022.

Thomas Tuchel’s Bayern Munich had expressed interest in the Englishman over the summer, however since the signing of Eric Dier from Tottenham Hotspur this month, their interest has now cooled.

But, as revealed by Florian Plettenberg of Sky Germany, Chelsea’s west London neighbours Fulham want to bring him to the club in January.

Talks have been centred around a six-month loan deal until the end of the season, with Fulham having the option to make the move permanent in the summer.

Chalobah may not be the only further departure this month following Ian Maatsen’s loan switch to Borussia Dortmund and David Datro Fofana’s move to Burnley.

Armando Broja will be allowed to leave the club for the right price, while Conor Gallagher’s future at Stamford Bridge still remains unclear.
