Victor Osimhen has offered an update on his Napoli future amid interest from Chelsea.

The 25-year-old, who is currently away with Nigeria at the African Cup of Nations, is the subject of strong interest from Chelsea, who are searching for a new centre-forward.

Osimhen has a £103 million release clause which becomes active this summer and Chelsea will no doubt be keeping tabs on his situation as they explore their potential options to strengthen Mauricio Pochettino‘s attack.

Chelsea are willing to let Armando Broja leave permanently this month should a suitable offer be received, indicating they are looking to raise funds for a new arrival.

Osimhen responded to questions from Sky in Italy over his personal interest in the Premier League and whether a switch to England would interest him.

He replied: “Of course I would like to play there one day, for now I have other plans for my career. But when the time comes you will know everything.”

It’s been previously reported that Osimhen would be open to moving to Stamford Bridge, with former Blues midfielder John Obi Mikel publicly known to have tried to convince the forward.

Meanwhile, Kepa Arrizabalaga’s hopes of joining Real Madrid, where he is currently on loan, on a permanent basis are fading.

As reported by The Athletic, Chelsea are set to ask for around €20 million this summer for Kepa’s services, a figure which is claimed to be ‘highly unlikely’ for Real to meet for a backup goalkeeper.

However, it’s also been revealed that Real’s transfer promise to Kepa has not been kept. The Spaniard opted to make the switch to Spain instead of Germany to join Bayern Munich at the last minute due to being ‘guaranteed’ the number one spot in Thibaut Courtois’ injury absence.

Real Madrid’s intentions have been to play Kepa throughout his loan spell, however Andriy Lunin has been given a share of the responsibilities as time has passed throughout the season.

It appears Kepa, who will have one year left on his current Chelsea deal this summer, will return to Stamford Bridge at the end of the season, leaving the Blues and goalkeeper needing to find a quick and suitable resolution with Robert Sanchez and Djordje Petrovic the current choices under Pochettino.
