The Chelsea squad available to face Borussia Dortmund for the second leg of the Round of 16 Champions League tie has been revealed.

It’s crunch time for Chelsea and Graham Potter on Tuesday night at Stamford Bridge. It’s now or never if they want to keep their Champions League hopes alive.

They face Dortmund in the English capital in the second leg of their last 16 tie, but will have to come from behind if they wish to progress into the quarter-finals of the competition.

Karim Adeyemi netted the only goal last month in the first leg, handing in-form Dortmund a narrow advantage heading to west London. Edin Terzić’s side have won their last 11 games and sit second in the Bundesliga.

“We have to play well, be positive,” was Graham Potter‘s message to his Chelsea side for the European affair. “It’s a special occasion for us in front of our supporters, to try to get into the last eight of the Champions League. We’ve had some games where we could’ve scored more than one, that’s for sure, and we need that performance tomorrow night. It’s that simple.

“We’re playing against a top team in a good place so it’s not going to be easy. But the boys are in a good place. They are confident, motivated, together and we want to take the challenge on and give it our best.”

Chelsea will be without Edouard Mendy (fractured finger), Thiago Silva (knee), Cesar Azpilicueta (head), Benoit Badiashile (ineligible), Noni Madueke (ineligible), David Datro Fofana (ineligible), Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (ineligible) and Armando Broja (ACL).

Reece James will face a late fitness test after suffering from a tight hamstring problem in the last week. Meanwhile Christian Pulisic is available and in the squad, Potter has confirmed, but the game comes too early for N’Golo Kante. Mason Mount also misses out due to suspension.

“Reece we’ll make a decision on tomorrow,” revealed Potter on Monday afternoon. “Christian is in the squad, he’s trained and is looking good.

“It’s too soon for N’Golo; he’s only had two full training sessions. It’s too soon but he’s looking good. So we’re going to continue with that progress.”
